In 2015 we made a move from our home town where we lived for most of our lives, to the Rim Country in Payson AZ. Having spent many summers in Flagstaff as a young girl, I was aware of the beautiful forests, but had no idea that in just an hour from the valley was the Rim.

With a mild four seasons the outdoor life is available year round. It truly is a wonderful place for horseback, hiking, off roading and fishing. It’s small town life for sure with all the benefits and disadvantages of living in a small town.

In our years of life on the Rim we have spent many hours hiking, riding, jeeping, fishing and exploring the many small towns. Finding hidden caves, water holes, wild horses, gems, abandoned homesteads and miles of beautiful scenery.
